Reviews and Feedback

“He must be a writer – he has ‘the look’ about him”. Punter, Edinburgh International Book Festival

Edinburgh Book Festival

…. brave, confident and articulate performance from a man who gives us the confidence to find within each of us the strength to be a good father or mother or poet, or even all combined in one.

Norwich Spy - Julian Swainson

Martin Figura’s show was one of the highlights of our festival this year. It had a very powerful effect on the audience; months later people still tell me how it has stayed with them.

Eleanor Livingstone, Director StAnza International Poetry Festival

Martin Figura’s poems are sharp and funny. One of the best performing poets on the circuit.

Luke Wright

I didn’t think old people could be funny, you were very very funny.

Ten Year Old Boy

…. sometimes very funny and always engaging. Figura is remarkably frank in what he tells his audience; but he includes us rather than making us feel we are intruding.

London Grip - Michael Bartholomew-Biggs

…. Tym’s response was extraordinary, for a quiet, non-poetic man like him. ‘Brilliant! he exclaimed. ‘Absolutely bloody brilliant!’ And he kept on saying it all the way home.
